Android 9 Pie introduces a new gesture-based navigation that makes using your Essential Phone with one hand even easier. But if you'd prefer, you can use the traditional navigation buttons from Android 8 Oreo.

When turned off, the more familiar three-button Android navigation of Back, Home, and App Overview  Oreo_navbar.svg  automatically appears. If you change your mind and would like to use the gesture-based navigation featured in Android 9 Pie, go back to Gestures and turn on Swipe up on Home button.
