You can use the Google Play Store to download apps, games, movies and TV shows, and more on your phone.
You can download apps from the Google Play Store from your phone, or to your phone from the web.
On your phone
- Tap Google Play Store
- Select an app, then tap Install
To download an app even quicker, tap next to the app name, then tap Install. If you see Open instead of Install, it means the app is already on your phone.
From the web
- Visit the Google Play Store from any web browser
- Select an app, then click Install
Before downloading the app, check the information notice below the app name to make sure it's compatible with your phone. Click to see your phone in the list. After you click Install, the app should download remotely to your device.
To re-download an app you removed from your phone:
- Open the Google Play Store
- Tap in the top left corner of the app
- Tap My apps & games
- Tap Library
Here you'll see all the apps you've previously downloaded to your phone. Tap Install to the right of the app to download it. If the option to install isn't available, it's most likely because there's a newer version of the app. Tap in the top right corner of your screen, then search for the updated app in the Google Play Store.
