"No SIM" Error

When your device displays a message that says "No SIM Card" in the status bar, follow these steps to determine if the issue is with the SIM card itself or the SIM card reader.

 

Reboot Phone

As a basic step, reboot the phone to have your device reattempt reading the SIM.

  1. Press and hold the Power Button
  2. Tap Restart
Reposition the SIM card

Ensure the SIM card is properly seated in the SIM tray and inserted flush with the frame. Follow the instructions in this support article for further assistance on this step.

Network Reset
Note: This will restore all network settings to factory defaults and will erase:
  • Any paired Bluetooth devices
  • Any saved Wi-Fi networks
  • Any customized cellular network settings such as APN preferences

Factory Reset
